Mobile Meals Part-Time Delivery Driver’s main function is to help ensure our homebound neighbors receive nutritious meals. Driving a Mobile Meals vehicle, you will play a vital role in our mission by delivering meal bags to volunteer pick-up points on the East Side of Tucson and in Green Valley.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently deliver meal bags to designated volunteer pick-up locations on the East Side of Tucson.
- Deliver client meals to designated locations in Green Valley, following safe driving practices and adhering to route schedules.
- Load and unload meal bags and boxes, which may weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
- Report any vehicle maintenance concerns or route challenges to the Operations Manager.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with volunteers and clients.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation in good working condition or a reliable way to get to and from work.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Experience driving an oversized truck or RV (Commercial Drivers License NOT required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate service to individuals in need.
