Mobile Meals purchased and now owns the old El Indio Restaurant in Tucson at 3355 S. Sixth Avenue. With easy access to I-10, I-19, and all areas of our service region, the new building will allow us to better serve our clients and perform our mission of “delivering nutritious meals to people in Southern Arizona through a network of caring individuals”.
The building will undergo $600,000 in renovations to accommodate the organization’s administrative offices and a new kitchen. It will also include a volunteer café and a loading dock for deliveries and pickups.
Mobile Meals will run a “New Kitchen” campaign to raise funds for the renovations at the 4,500-square-foot building. A grand opening is expected in the fall of 2022.
This is a big step forward for Mobile Meals, and we could never do it without the ongoing support of our donors. Please give generously today through our online donation page, and select “New Kitchen” when prompted.
